What is diastasis recti?

Often referred to as Mummy Tummy, diastasis recti is the thinning of the connective tissue between the 6 pack abdominal muscles. It is NORMAL at the end of pregnancy (that’s how we make room for baby), but NOT NORMAL afterwards. If it doesn’t resolve on its own, it needs to be addressed.

“I had to get someone to pass me the baby, I couldn’t even get off the couch because I was so weak and it hurt to get up. It felt like my stomach was being torn apart when I moved. Now I can get up no problem!”

Checking yourself for diastasis recti:

“Before working with Andrea, I was seeing a physiotherapist for my diastasis recti, with no progress or understanding of how to make it better.
Working with Andrea, I went from a 4 finger diastasis to 1 in a few months!”
